Shoetastic has been given a rave review by WW and voted website of the week!!!!
This is such a fantastic and unexpected boost for us.
and the best part is we had no clue about it, there was no press release sent or email from us to the magazine, it was all down to a very happy and satisfied customer who has found exactly what she wants and needs and is soooo delighted with the service we provide that she just wants to tell the world how delighted she is to finally have shoes that fit, are comfortable and are in all price ranges, something for everyone’s taste and budget!!!
So thank you happy delighted customer who is doing her bit to spread the word about Shoetastic and the brilliant service we provide, putting shoes on the elegant feet of the petite ladies who deserve to wear them!!
check out Shoetastic for yourself at www.shoetastic.ie
send us your reviews, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
Ahh it’s a new year and a chance for us all to start again, so many of us begin by making new years resolutions.
I personally think that a resolution doesn’t have to be about giving something up but enriching your life in some way.
Oh the list of resolutions I’ve heard this week is mad, giving up smoking, going on a diet, pay the visa bill on time, giving up coffee, giving up drinking/nights out, I mean really, how many of us actually keep to these things, after about 2 weeks they are long forgotten because they don’t actually have any meaning behind them, and it’s acceptable because everyone else is after forgetting about theirs too!!
I would love to see resolutions like giving a euro to St Vincent de Paul, you only do it the once, you wont miss your euro but it will make such a difference to others and if you kept it up for a few weeks, all the better!!!
or even clean out your wardrobe and donate what you can to the local womens refuge or homeless shelter, or charity shop, its nothing to you, a bit of a relief to get rid of your old stuff that you dont want anymore, it’s only taking up space, but to the people receiving it, it’s a gift.
the same goes for unwanted presents, or children’s toy’s, it’s not too late, santa can be late you know, some children were’nt fortunate enough for santa to visit them yet, maybe your child got 2 of something or got something they didn’t like or want, instead of putting it in the back of the press, give it to a shelter or charity shop, your small act of kindness will mean so much to the one receiving it and the best part is NO PAIN!!!
there are also loads of helplines that would love some volunteers, an hour a month means a lot, so you might miss corrie but you have plenty of chances to catch up on it, the good you could do in that hour is huge!!!!
There’s so many things that we can do for others that doesn’t cost us anything but means so much.
Why not try a new kind of resolution this year, giving, not taking away!!
We arrived at the Clontarf Castle Hotel for the quiz night for Julia charity event at 7pm, plenty of time to check in and get ready for the quiz.
I’m always super organised and booked a room about 6 weeks in advance!!!
But, when I tried to check in. . . there was a problem, the computer system had crashed earlier that day and they had no rooms available for us, DISASTER!!!!!
The receptionist was lovely, doing her best to get me a room in the nearest hotel possible as I had explained to her that the only reason we were there was to attend a function in the hotel!!!
She was great, offered us a room at a nearby hotel with free taxi’s there and back to the function, back to the other hotel after the function and back to Clontarf Castle again in the morning to collect our car, it didnt matter to me though, I was absolutely distraught, thought I was going to cry, I was so organised and now. . .
but I kept my cool, just said it could happen to anyone and it wasn’t her or the porter’s fault that the system had crashed, these things happen, i did try to convince them to give me someone else’s room, but no luck.
So I called my family and friends that we were meeting at the quiz to tell them we would be late and to carry on without us. We waited in the lobby for a taxi to an alternative hotel, just as we were getting into the taxi, a porter came running out after us . . .THEY HAD A ROOM!!!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!!
Oh the relief, we went back inside to check in,it was nearly half 7 and we had to wait for the room to be cleaned before we could go up there, the lovely Suzanne was fantastic, she even offered to go up and clean it herself so we wouldn’t be late for the quiz!!!!
SOOOO glad I didn’t rant at her because we ended up in the Royalty Suite!!!!!!!!!!!!! so Fantastic.
We were given complimetary drinks while the room was cleaned and we got a lovely surprise at being given the Royalty Suite for the night!!! it was out of this world, lovely views, lovely staff, everything was fantastic.
I couldn’t thank Suzanne enough, i think I might have even hugged her!!!
The room/suite was amazing, it had a sitting room and even a dining room. . . .the furniture was antique, the bed was huge and there was a gargoyle in the sitting room, the showere was great and we had breakfast in bed.
We didn’t win anything at the quiz but we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay in Clontarf Castle Hotel.
thanks again so much to the lovely Suzanne
one evening I was checking my emails and I got an email from a lovely lady named Cassandra, looking for sponsors for prizes for a quiz night she was holding in Dublin’s Clontarf Castle. It was to raise money for a child that she sponsors in Russia named Julia, but of course it is to benefit Julia and her family and her entire community.
Of course at first I thought it was some kind of spam or something so I gave her a call to find out what it was all about.
She told me all about the little girl she sponsors named Julia in Russia and how the funds raised through the quiz night would not only help her but her entire community.
I thought it was a lovely thing to do so I agreed to donate a €100 voucher and 250 Shoetastic Shopping Bags so that they could be used to hold all the goodies.
The quiz was held in Clontarf Castle in Dublin. It was a very well organised event with loads of people of all ages and interests.
The questions were very diverse and it was great fun!!!!
I mean how does a snake hear????
I don’t know how they came up with them.
There were loads of great prizes including a lovely handbag, a bike, handmade jewellery, vouchers for days out, the list is endless, there was something for everyone.
The organisers of the Charity did a fantastic job and were lovely people, same as me and you, extremely kind hearted and generous.
My granda, auntie Mary, Angela and my brother Gavin came with us to see if we could answer a couple of questions.
We did great, Angela won a spot prize. . . well it was her birthday after all.
Fantastic night had by all and the best part was that it was to help someone else, win win.
The lovely lady that won the Shoetastic Voucher was delighted and will use it to get a present for her sister. They were both delighted, firstly to have won a prize and secondly to end the search for small sizes ladies shoes.
I hope to hear from them again very soon.
Thank you to Cassandra for inviting me to donate to the Quiz night and to Deborah for running the charity.
The Story of Shoetastic.
My name is Amy Hanley and I am delighted to tell all of you reading this about my online shoe shop named Shoetastic and how it all began. . .
Two years ago now, my best friend Siobhan asked me if I would be her bridesmaid, and of course I was so happy, it would be such an honour to stand beside her as she made her vows, I’ve stood beside her as she did just about everything else anyway!
That was until I realised that I would have to go on the search for shoes, not just any ordinary hunt for the “perfect shoes” but for a pair of shoes that would fit my tiny feet. You see, I’m only a size one yes size 1 shoe. Where on earth would I get a pair of shoes to fit me???
I sent everyone I knew all around Ireland to see if they could find me some shoes that would actually fit, and would not look like children’s shoes, because up til then, that is what I wore, everyday. I had nothing else and nowhere that I could buy them, so I lived in my Nike runners.
When going out on a Saturday night or to an occasion I would wear a size 3 boot and put 3 pairs of insoles into them and wear thick socks, just to keep them on my feet, and still at the start of the night, I looked like I’d already had a few. . .
It was not just about that, but about how self conscious I was, I just didn’t feel right, and so not comfortable. I thought that people were looking at me when I was walking past and not in the good way, or watching me. Even when getting dressed up, I had to wear jeans or something all the time because you can’t stuff high heels or sandals so I couldn’t wear them.
After a lengthy search, up and down the country and asking many of my local shops, both shoe and clothes shops if they could help me out, I had nothing. I had discovered that there was no one in Ireland selling shoes to ladies with teeny feet. It was so disheartening; I didn’t know what to do.
Then, I went on the internet and found a website that sold shoes in my size, yippee; it was like my birthday and Christmas all in one. They also had the”perfect shoes” for the outfit, fantastic!!! So I ordered my shoes and was told it would be 10 days delivery, but after 21 days nothing came. I rang the company and they said that it was an error and that they did not have my shoes. They had my money though! After a few more weeks and a lot more phone calls, my shoes eventually arrived. I only got charged twice and it took 10 weeks and not 10 days as promised. It also took 4 months to get my refund.
When the shoes finally arrived, I was so overjoyed, it was almost worth it, until, I put them on, my god, after 10 minutes they had cut into my toes and my ankles, what was I going to do? I had no time to order new ones and to be perfectly honest. I didn’t want any more dealings with the company I got them from. I ended up having to wear them on the day. I put a smile on my face and pretended that all was well.
After all that, I decided that I was no longer going to deal with the company that I bought the shoes from, and if no one in Ireland was selling shoes to ladies with petite feet, then I would!!!
I could not take it any longer, how could buying a pair of shoes possibly be so hard? Necessity is the mother of invention as they say.
So I set about doing my research and getting my grants and doing business courses and website courses, I found suppliers and it was great. I was doing it. I was going to get shoes for not just me, but all of you out there with tiny feet too!
I set up my business and opened in November 2009.
I now sell shoes for ladies with petite feet, and of course, no outfit is complete without the matching handbag. . .
I have shoes for all occasions, and not occasions, just everyday wear, and a great selection of handbags.
I stock sizes 13,1,2,2.5,3 and 4 (eu 32,33,34,35,36,37).
All items on the website are in stock and can be on your feet by the end of the week! Fantastic !!!
Coming soon to Shoetastic:
I am introducing a new line of stock, that is more pocket friendly than the stock that I currently hold, I will be keeping the brands that I currently have, they are very high quality and worth every penny, Ihave a lot of customers who love them.
But at the moment, none of us have many pennies so I want to have something for everyone, for every price range.
Also, PayPal is fantastic, for security and for those who use eBay all the time, but not for everyone, it’s a bit of a hassle if you can’t remember your password or do not have an account so I am introducing Laser and Visa payments as well as PayPal. There are extra security features added so that these payments are extra safe.
My job is to keep my customers happy; I feel that in making these changes I am achieving that. I want to have something for everyone.
The changes should be complete by mid June 2010.
If there is something that I do not have that you would like please contact me :

We had a great night at the sex and the city theme night in Tintean Theatre in Ballybunion during the May bank holiday weekend.
There was everything a girl could want, clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery, gift ideas, palm reading and not forgetting the handsome waiters with free martini’s!!
I was delighted to be part of the night and have an exhibition of my fabulous shoes and bags.
There were lots of lovely ladies who were delighted to meet me there and put them out of their misery!
Finally, shoes that actually fit!!!!
It was a great night and I was delighted to be invited to take part.
I met a lot of lovely people and have had a fantasic response.
thank you all.
It is really great to see someone smile when you tell them, yes, I have your size, when they are so used to being disappointed and shoe shopping is far from fun, now they can have shoes for every outfit, and of course the bag to match.
I sell small shoes, in small sizes, for ladies with small feet.
I prefer the term petite feet but and that is why I have chosen it as my caption.
I stock size 13/32,size 1/33, size 2/34, size 2.5/35, size 3/36 and size 4/37.
All items shown on the website are in stock and can be on your feet by the end of the week.
Have fun ladies, release the sex and the city girl within you, are you a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda or Samantha???
